Want, want, WANT!!!

So i’m kind of a list guy. You know those super annoying people that whenever you talk about a great book/movie/record and they pipe up and go “yeah what a movie, that’s my 23rd favourite movie of all time!!” yeah, i’m one of those guys.

So with that in mind i decided officially last night that Neko Case’s “Fox Confessor Brings The Flood” is definitely in my top 5 favourite records of all time. I’m not sure where it sits in terms of positioning but if you listen to a record consistently for 5 years and it never get’s old then chances are it’s going to be one of your favourite records. So haunting and beautiful and engaging all at the same time. What a record.

Also on the topic of list’s i also decided last night that this is my second favourite Jeff Buckley song of all time (behind Lover, You Should’ve Come Over) If you don’t like Jeff Buckley you don’t have ears.

So once again we are headed back out on the road in support of our third single “What Do You Do?” and after announcing last night i know there were some people who were bummed that we aren’t coming to your town or playing any all ages shows and my first thought was to be bummed out too we would like to go everywhere and play to anyone who likes our band because we are five very privileged guys to have people who are passionate about our band so please know that we don’t enjoy disappointing anyone.

Since we are yet to sustain ourselves solely off income from the band it makes it difficult to keep full time jobs and do multiple shows in every state also in a lot of states organising an all ages show can be quite difficult to pull off as there is council issues along with liability insurance and a lot of red tape to get around.

So in closing we appreciate every person who cares enough about our band to want to come out to a show and we will try our hardest to make up shows in the places we aren’t visiting on this tour.

To anyone who will make these shows we look forward to seeing you all once again

So i now have a tumblr, i have absolutely no idea what i’m doing so i guess i’ll just blindly dive in. I had a few self made rules for allowing myself to have one of these things so if you would like to keep me to them i will share them with you? Deal? They are:

Glad we got that out of the way.

Listening:

Last night i came across a band (I’m usually very late to these things so you may minus as many cool points as you see fit) called Listener, i saw their singer Dan in a video for The Chariot so i searched him out and all mewithoutyou comparison’s aside this band is brilliant i sat up for 3 hours with this record on repeat pacing my kitchen as i usually do to concentrate on everything and this song just slayed me, i instantly started firing email after email at my sleeping girlfriend to tell her everything i thought of this band and how she must listen to them the second she woke up. So instead of bothering her, i’m going to annoy you.

Also on my high list of records i’ve found lately is a great band from Washington called U.S. Royalty another one of those late night finds where i paced my house like rainman. Amazing song and all round great record.
